The success of counselling is largely dependent on the relationship we build together—what some people call the "therapeutic alliance.” So it’s important to get to know me and my approach first, so you can discern if we’re a good fit. In addition, a consultation gives me a sense of who you are and what kind of healing you seek. This allows me to begin to imagine a treatment plan, helping me prepare for our first session and subsequent appointments.

Psychotherapy is a collaborative relationship. As the therapist, I bring my expertise in evidence-based approaches to trauma and healing. I’m the trained psychotherapist, but you are the expert of your own life. And that’s an incredibly important distinction. With this in mind, we’ll work together on a treatment plan, helping you map the path towards healing. I’m ready and willing to partner with you on this journey of self-discovery.

Humans are beautifully complex, so it’s rare that our pain is siloed within one area. Pain and trauma—both past and present, whether our own or that experienced by our ancestors—can impact the whole inner landscape. Our sessions are a safe place that helps you explore all parts—mind, body, emotions, spirit—to safely connect with your whole self and help shape you and future generations.

Evidence Based

Using highly researched methods and a flexible approach that adapts to your unique story, I weave CBT, EMDR, IFS, DBT, Gestalt, traditional healing insights, and more approaches to empower you to embrace life’s highs and lows.

Virtual

Evidence shows that virtual therapy is just as effective as face to face services. The Jane App provides a secure online platform where we can connect. Compliant with privacy laws in Ontario, it allows us to meet safely from wherever you are. The evidence-based therapies that I use are easily adaptable to be offered in a virtual setting, allowing you to choose your preferred location for your healing journey.

This will take you to the Jane App, where you can book your consultation and appointments with me.

Either sign in or sign up for an account via the Jane App.

Once you’ve booked this, you should receive an email confirming your consultation. To reschedule or cancel, use the booking link in this confirmation email. 

After our initial consultation, you’ll be sent an intake package through the Jane App.

Once your intake form is complete, you’ll be able to book an individual appointment through the Jane App.

To do so, select “Individual Counselling Session (Telehealth)” to see available appointments on the calendar. Select the one you want. 

You’ll receive an email confirming your appointment.
To reschedule or cancel, use the booking link in this confirmation email.

You’ll receive a secure link (by email) to our online appointment thirty minutes prior to its start time.

Payment is due at the end of each session. Payments are made via Jane App. When filling your profile, you’ll be asked to provide credit card information. This will be used for all appointment payments. You won’t be charged until the end of our appointment. Alternatively, you can set up payments via Interac e-Transfer with Katrina.  

The fee is $175 (CAD) per 55-minute session. 

To cancel an appointment, I require 24 hours notice. Otherwise, you will be automatically charged the full fee.
